We're super excited to share our fundraising page with you! What’s really fun is that you get to choose where your contribution goes, with four awesome options:

1. Kiez Mobil (the mobile cart): Since 2017, Kiez Mobil, a vibrant wooden cart on wheels, has been delivering impactful, glass fusing workshops for youth in underserved areas of Berlin and its surroundings. Your donation will ensure that we are able to keep our inventory stocked with plenty of vibrant colored glass, tools, and pay our wonderful free-lance team a fair hourly rate.

2. Glass Gleams (lanterns): Glass Gleams is one of our newest programs and a delightful way to brighten up our lives during the grey winter months! We take small lanterns, remove the old glass, and let the kids unleash their creativity by decorating them with their own designs using fused glass. Seeing a lantern they’ve decorated brings so much joy!

3. Multaka-Berlin Glass workshops: Berlin Glas partners with Multaka: Museum as Meeting Point – Refugees as Guides in Berlin Museums to offer free museum tours and workshops for adults at our studio. The museum tours focus on glass in the various collections housed in the State Museums in Berlin. We talk about historical processes and how we might make similar objects today. The following day, at the Berlin Glas Studio, we have a hands-on class using one of the processes we saw in the museum!

4. Providing stipends for university students to take our classes: We offer a variety of glass-making techniques, each providing significant value for emerging artists and designers. By making a direct donation, you can help us create opportunities for the Casting and Wax-making classes (2 spots in each), Principles of Cold-Work (10 places), and the Glassblowing Bundle (four Bundles)!
