A glass artist’s practice revolves a lot around technologies and equipment, which are in a way at the core of every work an artist creates but almost never visible in the final result.

We invite you to embark in an itinerary through the hot shop and discover Alexandra’s glass objects in their natural habitat, and to pay tribute to all of the equipment and tools that are used in transforming glass into art!

Alexandra Muresan is a glass artist and an assistant professor in the Department of Ceramics and Glass, University of Art and Design, Cluj-Napoca (Romania). In 2016 she received the summa cum laude distinction for her PhD research about the science of the material. She is currently an Artist in Residence at Berlin Glas, as part of the Imagining Sustainable Glass Network Europe (ISGNE), a programme co-sponsored by Creative Europe.
